MC Coolidge — Best Blogger … I could get used to the sound of that!

But in the meantime, I’ll have to settle for Best Blogger “Finalist” … and I’ll have to settle for seeing it … not hearing it. Look what Sarasota Magazine just SUPER sweetly delivered to me today! And, yup, it’s going up proudly on my office wall. (Now, if only I could glow as radiantly as the woman on the cover!)

  1. Congrats! It’s so great that your writing is recognized by the local peeps as well as the Florida Press! You rock, chickadee.

(Isn’t that you on the cover?) :)

    T

  2. Thanks Theresa! Hey, I watched you on Tampa Bay news — very, very cool!

  3. Hi Mary Catherine,

Regarding the cover, if memory serves, wasn’t there something you wrote about women looking good WITHOUT makeup? Methinks you should make up your mind. 😉

Mazel tov! I am sure more awards will be forthcoming – and more job opportunities.

    -Howard G

  4. Point taken, Howard — and you know what — I just noted the irony of how she’s so dramatically made-up and yet she’s supposed to be in the pool! See? Women aren’t even supposed to swim without makeup! Thanks for the Mazel Tov! Have you seen the movie Defiance with Liev Schreiber?

  5. MC, just wait kiddo, till this crazy economy turns around. Surley you will be the recipient of many more; “well deserved” awards. Must congrats to my favorite blogger.
    With due respect, Dan Z.

  6. Oops, almost forgot and Mary, hope this is ok with you: But – Go Detroit Redwings!
Ok, feel much better and thank you. :)

  7. Thanks Dan Z — appreciate your kind words. Redwings? Is this some new bird I haven’t heard about? Okay, okay. I know it must be a sports team of some kind…. hope your team wins!

  8. Uh…. Detroit Red Wings – Hockey Team… They are in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburg Penguins… it’s ok, the South really aren’t into hockey as much as the Midwest… shoot, have to leave for work….bye……

  9. Oh, hockey! But still … redwings? what an odd name! I’ve seen the Boston Bruins play and the team that is in Phoenix — I’ve seen them play too. Well, I kind of like the name of the Pittsburg Penguins, so I’m rooting for them, Dan Z — sorry! :)

  10. I sure hope you are not a Lions fan Dan???Nice columns as usual MC.Continued good wishes in everything you do:-)

Thanks for all your excellent, informative and entertaining posts. It’s great to see you recognized for all of your hard work and dedication to Reality Online.

  12. Hey Steve…..Kinda curious as to what a 76 Million Dollar quarterback can do? I wuld like to know, where the heck did Detroit get that kind of money to pay one player? And who the heck are going to be able to afford to attend a Detroit football game with no one working and almost all the auto companies going bankrupt? Say, the Tigers are doing incredible this year. But, for right now, kinda focused on this great Stanley Cup series against the Penguins. Steve, the Pelican Press printed my story……
Mary, look at the great, exciting blog-site you created! Man… you must be so darned proud! Keep up the excellent work and truly wonderful stories. I will be looking forward to your next blog….. Just had to cool off a bit since reading about your date at Y’bor… Jeesh…. kinda put the sauce to that one…ha…. But glad you did it. Maybe it’l make some guy’s out there spice up their dating scene…. Laters….

  13. *Gosh darn it Steve….. and Mary, when ya goin to get spell check on here…. :(..
*Supposed to be Would and not wuld….. oh my……

  14. I was thinking the same Dan with the Lions pissing all that $$$ away for a rookie QB but I don’t blame the kid.Hopefully he can do as well as Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco as rookie QBs last year.I read Detroit’s avg.house value is 18 grand!!!!!!
I saw the story printed Dan and you should be proud of yourself for all the hard work you did to get it published .Keep it up!.
I need spell check more than you.Even Boomerang spells better than I do:-)

  15. Steve, I certainly appreciate all your fine comments. I’ll bust my rear, to fight for what I believe in and frankly Steve, with all the snowballing we’ve been through over the years, a person can only take so much crap. It[‘s that one thing I noticed about people in the South, they are so naieve and believe too much. Well, I’m glad I read “between the lines” and believe me, some of the things I’ve been reading, especially the column by Dean Cannon in the Herald-Tribune, I just couldn’t take any more. I will fight for our wildlife, our marine mamals, our environment and never, ever jeapordize our life here in Florida as we know it, just for a short gain and let the oil companies run away with suitcases of money after they’ve done their damage, all in the name of greed. Haven’t we all learned what happend when the leading mortgage bankers of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac did to the market by offering hundreds of thousands of subprime loans…aka.. millions of forclosed homes across the country.
I have so much gratitude for MC at having this excellent blog of hers and have so much respect and admiration for the accomplishments she has achieved. I see a very bright future for this bright and talented young woman.
    Dan

Thank you again Mary, for being there for all of us.
    Everyone have a great weekend.
    Dan :)
