MC’s Guide to Showing Your Dad Some Love

Hey, I’m happy to report that the Sarasota Herald Tribune is running a piece I wrote on things to do for this coming Father’s Day. The story appeared in today’s paper in the TICKET section; page 6E if you’re an old-fashioned get-the-ink-on-your-hands kind of person. Click here Celebrating Dear Old Dad to read the story online.

    Ok,MC
    great ideas but……
i hate to burst ur fathers day balloon , as a father for 17 yrs
I have to tell it like it is
Fathers Day was created by a woman to get a second “mothers day”
    on the calendar
you see it’s not the whole family involved in these activities but rather dad and the kids.
This leaves mom alone to enjoy the peace and quiet of home or perhaps the mani- pedi she scheduled for this day.
Yea yea yea happy fathers day!!!
Let’s just call it what it truly is
    Mothers Day – summer style

  2. Kudos on a fabulous article. I am sure many of the men that have passed through your life (and see this piece) and offered support are smiling right now!

  3. Thanks, J.!

I added your comment into the posting of today’s columns — really appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.
