After leaving the Pelican Press newspaper in May 2008 (for reasons explained here), I took my Reality Chick column to the Internet and launched MC’s Reality Online a couple of months later. Thanks to wonderful readers — local to Sarasota, across the U.S., and even across the pond — visitors to my blog have grown from just a handful to over 4,000 monthly.

Along the way, readers of Reality Online have generously (and very sweetly) voted for me in local “Best of” contests — and I’m very grateful because that kind of loyalty and encouragement kept me writing and connected to readers during the many long months before I landed another paying (very important!) print gig.
